About This Quiz

Cars accumulate reputations, and among enthusiasts those reputations become more solid than any specification. A car is the drift one, or the rally one, or the one that got ruined by a film, or the one your neighbour buys when they have finally made some money. This quiz runs entirely on that. Sixteen clues, each describing a vehicle or a marque by what it is known for rather than what it is, and asking you to name it. No horsepower figures, no production dates, no engine capacities. Rated Medium, and it rewards a very specific kind of knowledge: the sort you pick up from forums, video games, car videos and other people's opinions rather than from a specification sheet. Someone who has never driven anything interesting can score highly here purely on cultural exposure, and a genuinely knowledgeable owner of one marque may not.

Topics Covered

Legendary sports cars and enthusiast icons
Cars made famous by motorsport and films
Logos and brand identities
Drifting, rally, and performance culture
Luxury and hypercar reputation
Electric vehicles and modern trends

Before You Play

Background and what to expect. No answers given away.

Reputation is the only currency here

Every clue describes how a car is regarded rather than what it is made of. The tuner favourite, the one that dominated a rally era, the one that became a luxury shorthand, the one whose badge signals something specific about its owner.

If a clue reads like something a person would say rather than something a brochure would print, that is deliberate.

Brand and model are both fair game

Some answers are manufacturers, identified by an emblem or a slogan or a market position. Others are individual models, and for those the specific variant sometimes matters because the reputation belongs to one version rather than the whole family.

Check the options before committing. If three of them are models and one is a marque, that tells you what is being asked.

Motorsport and cinema built most of these reputations

A car that won a championship or appeared in the right film acquires a status that has nothing to do with how it drives. In several cases the road version is unremarkable and the reputation belongs entirely to what happened on a stage or a screen.

Where a clue mentions fame rather than performance, that is the mechanism.

The luxury end trades on restraint

At the top of the market, the signalling is different. Speed stops being the point and the reputation is built on silence, presence and the implication that the owner is not driving.

There are only a handful of marques in that space and their identities are extremely distinct, which makes those clues among the more answerable here.

The Challenge

Some clues point at a whole marque and others at one specific model, and the options mix both. Reading whether you are being asked for a brand or a car is half the work.
